Suspended Lace Panel Cards Featuring Pinkfresh Studio
Hi everyone. Thanks for stopping by. I have some beautiful projects to share with you today, along with a video tutorial to walk you through the creation of these cards.
I'm creating some lace panel cards. These cards feature some of the intricate background dies from Pinkfresh Studio...including the Folklore Die, The Geo Leaf Die and the Hello With A Bouquet Die. Two of these cards utilize the lace like backgrounds as windows on the front of the card, allowing you to see the inside of the card. The final card uses the lace like panel on the front of a standard note card.
I decided to feature Pantone's color of the year for 2019, Living Coral, in the color palette of these cards. I'm a huge fan of coral shades. It pairs so nicely with crisp white, black, gold and kraft. It also pairs beautifully with teals, navy, grays, mint and blushy pinks.
The first card features the Hello With A Bouquet die. I floated this intricate die cut in the center of a rectangle window on my card. To complete the sentiment, I embossed the "you are the best sentiment" on vellum using white embossing powder. This sentiment is from the Floral Frame stamp set.
To finish off the card, I added some sparkle with some gold glitter card stock and some sparkling clear sequins. I also added a small strip of black and white patterned paper for a pop of contrast.
The second card features the Geo Leaf die cut, floating inside of a heart shaped window on the front of the card. I thought this was a fun idea for a beautiful, lacey Valentine.
For this card, I used a sentiment from the Let Your Heart Decide stamp set. I also embellished the front with a gold heat embossed floral element from the Fancy Blooms stamp set.
The final card features the Folklore Die. For this card, I kept it very simple and adhered this beautiful lacey die cut to a standard card front. I used small dots of liquid glue for this.
The die cut sentiment for this card is from the Folk Mandala die set. To help it stand out from the intricate background, I added a banner of vellum behind it. That helps soften the background and allows the sentiment to appear more prominent on the card front.
These types of cards work best with very intricate panel dies. Other dies you might consider are the Geo Floral background die and the Modern Mandala die. These dies offer a lace like feel that would work beautifully for created suspended panels on your cards.
