Window Shaker Cards & Partial Die Cutting - Pinkfresh Studio June Release Blog Hop

Hi everyone!  I hope you're having a fabulous day and week!  I'm back again today sharing some fun shaker cards featuring the new release from Pinkfresh Studio's June release.  I think you're going to like this one.

I'll be using the Say It With Florals stamp and coordinating die set and the Forest Friends stamp and coordinating dies for these shaker cards. 

I'll show you a couple of different ways to create shaker cards....and give you some tips on partial die cutting.  I'll also show you the entire Pinkfresh Studio June release.  For all of that, be sure you check out the video tutorial below.

I created a couple of these shakers using what I consider to be the "traditional" shaker card method.  I created a card front panel with an acetate window and then adhered that to the front of my card base using foam adhesive.

I also created a couple of see through window shaker dies.  Because the Say It With Florals and Forest Friends dies include a cutting edge around the entire border of the paper, I created my window on the card base using partial die cutting.  I then created a pocket using my Fuse tool to contain my sequins.  This method involves a couple more steps, but I love that you can see through the card to the inside of the card.  If you wanted to take it one step further, you could cut your window through the back of the card too.

So there you have it.  Four fun and fabulous shaker cards.  I can't imagine NOT smiling when receiving a shaker card.  I mean, what could be more fun?

Oh...and I took a scrap that I totally bombed on and created another card using the Say It With Florals stamp set.
