Simple Snowy Thank You's - Honey Bee Stamps 12 Designers Of Christmas

Hi everyone!  Thanks for stopping by today!  Welcome to day 2 of Honey Bee Stamps' The 12 Designers Of Christmas.  Each day, a different designer will be featuring a Honey Bee stamp set over on the Honey Bee blog...and each day, the Honey Bee store will be offering a special deal on the featured stamp set.  Fun, right?  But hurry.  This deal is for today only!

I’ll be featuring the Thanks and Cherish stamp sets in today’s projects!  I’ve used the thanks stamp set to create a super fast and easy winter themed thank you note.  I know once Christmas comes, we’ll all be busy making thank you notes for all the fabulous gifts we received.

I love the way the thank you sentiment die cuts so perfectly with the coordinating die.  It’s super easy to line up too.  And, this set is designed so that you can use it as “thank you” or add the s and use it as “thanks”.  Both dies are included with the coordinating dies.

I quickly punched some snowflakes out of white card stock and vellum.  To make the snowflakes super sparkly, I added just a touch of the Honey Bee Ice Chips glitter.  This chunky glitter is so beautiful and sparkly.  It reminds me of a winter wonderland.  And just a touch of this glitter takes a plain white snowflake from ordinary to fabulous.

To add just a touch of color to the background, I used some Distress Inks and blended them on to the card front.  For the pink version, I used Tattered Rose and Spun Sugar.  For the minty blue version, I used Evergreen Bough and Cracked Pistachio.  I love the touch of color this added without taking away from the softness of the card.

Once I had all of my elements ready, it was just a matter of layering up the elements, and a little bit of polka dot acetate.

I also made another version of these cards featuring the Cherish stamp set.  The card layout and most of the elements are exactly the same, but I substituted hearts for snowflakes.

I also added just a touch of gold stitching for a little bit of shine.

I have a video tutorial below walking you through these simple snowflake cards.  Be sure to check it out!

Thanks for stopping by today.  I hope you’ve enjoyed these projects.  It’s time to get to crafting!  Until next time, I hope you have a fabulous day!
