Lindsay Letter Monogram Cards
I wanted to stop in quickly to share some quick letterpress cards I created using the soon to be released Linsday Letter Monogram Letterpress Plate and Die Set from Studio Calico. I've been wanting a letterpress plate with coordinating die set for years and I've finally found one!
This printing plate set is so organic. It makes beautiful cards. With such an organic looking wreath, I decided I would combine it with the Woodgrain Letterpress Plate and blind emboss the background (which means I used the letterpress plate without any ink).
The coordinating dies are wonderful! You can use it many ways. Cut your paper and letterpress it to create a pop-up piece for the front of your card. Or use the die to create a window and letterpress inside that window like I've done here.
I've also used the heart die to deboss a heart on the front of this card. These would make fabulous wedding thank you notes! The blind embossing saves time and ink….and clean up too! I just love the look of blind embossed letterpress. It's so rich and elegant. (This technique is oh so hard to photograph, but in real life it is stunning.)
I love to use monogram letterpress cards for teacher gifts. They're easy to mass produce. Once you have your plates set on your letterpress tool, just re-ink and keep on pressing!
In order to create the olive green ink, I used the green ink and added some brown ink to it. That gave me the perfect shade of green for these cards!
The Lindsay Letter Letterpress Set will go on sale on Monday, January 27th at noon EST. So if you're already a Studio Calico subscriber, add it to your order and save on shipping!
Have a fabulous day!
