Just Sparkle Shaker Tag Card
Hi everyone! When I saw the Sparkle stamp set from Shanna Noel and Studio Calico, I just knew I had to have it! The saying are right up my alley. And I knew it called for sequins...and a lot of them. I decided to take this opportunity to make a tag shaker card and use all of my sparkling sequins from Studio Calico and Pretty Pink Posh.
I started by creating my "tag". It's actually the Business Card Holder Die from Lifestyle Crafts. I thought this would make a perfect holder for all my little round beauties. I cut it from vellum and added a piece of transparency to the inside to keep the "guts" from seeping out of the slit in the front. In order to cut down on the amount of adhesive I had to use for assembly, I decided to sew my business card holder around the edge. This way I didn't have to worry about adhesive showing through.
I added lots of sequins to the business card holder. I mixed sequins from Studio Calico and Pretty Pink Posh to give me a variety of bright colors and metallic gold. I also added a variety of sizes to make it more interesting. There's even a couple of star sequins in there.
Since this card was all about sparkle, I found lots of ways to add in even more sparkly gold accents. The sentiment is embossed in gold. I matted the card front and sentiment with my favorite gold glitter card stock. And I added a bow made from my favorite gold thread. I took every opportunity possible to make this card sparkle and shine!
