Creating Christmas With Everyday Products Featuring Altenew & A Giveaway
Hello everyone! I’m so glad you’ve stopped by. I’m excited to be a guest designer over on the Altenew Card Blog. I decided I would share that project here with you as well.
I’m sharing a Christmas card project today that features several Altenew products that were actually designed to be used year round. I’ve mixed in a couple of holiday stamp sets as well. However, I wanted to point out, that a quick change in color theme, greenery and sentiment would make for a lovely thank you card as well.
The Altenew Leafy Wreath die is a beautiful die that can be used on cards year round. Today, I’m cutting several of these from shades of green card stocks, vellum and gold foil paper to layer together. Layering several of these gives this wreath a very full look.
I’ve also stamped and die cut some greenery from the Holiday Bow stamp set. I love the greenery in this set. I’ve used it behind my wreath to create a very festive holiday feel.
I’ve also used the Pinstripe background stamp. Once again, this isn’t a holiday themed product, but I love that I can make if feel more holiday-ish with my ink choice. I stamped the Pinstripe stamp in Ruby Red ink on to plain white card stock to create a background for my wreath.
It was a last minute decision to add a floral element to this card. I wanted another red element on my card, so I searched through my Altenew floral stamp sets to find the perfect image. The Climbing Clematis ended up being the perfect size for a floral accent on my wreath, and that pop of rich red was exactly what this card needed.
