Baby Shaker Card - Confetti Card

Today I have a baby shaker card for you….not to be confused with a shaken baby card.  ;)

Spring has sprung here in California and the babies are getting ready to make their grand entrance.  I needed a card or two on hand for these special arrivals and I thought confetti and sequins were the perfect way to celebrate.

I used the Classic Confetti die and Color Theory Sequins from Studio Calico to create a fun and festive look for this card.  I used the confetti and sequins inside the shaker window, as well as on the card front…making it feel like it's just oozing with fun and happiness.

I used my Silhouette to cut a card front with the word BABY.  This served as my window for the skier card.  The Silhouette Cameo makes it easy to customize this any way you wish. This could easily be a birthday card as well!  Just change the sentiment.

To create the window, you'll need a piece of acetate that's large enough to cover the word window you've created.  I glued the acetate to the back part of the word window, and attached it to the vellum beneath, using two layers of foam adhesive.  The two layers of foam really gives the confetti room to move.

I finished the card off with a giant silk bow…because let's face it.  What would a baby girl card be without a giant bow?

I've included a video tutorial below walking you through the entire creation of this card…including my blunders.  I've also included links to the supplies below.

Thanks for stopping by today.  I hope you've enjoyed this project!  Have a fabulous day!
