Amazing Birthday Card
Hi everyone! I hope you are all enjoying spring break! I've had several days off of work and I've really enjoyed being at home with my kiddos. It's back to reality for me tomorrow. The kids are back to school on Monday.
I did manage to find some time today to sneak in to my craft room and create a card. As I was looking at some of my favorite blogs last night, I noticed that Simon Says Stamp is celebrating their 4th birthday. I thought it would be fun to use the new Happy Every Day stamp set from Simon to create a card in honor of their birthday.
This particular card is a shaker card. It's an easy technique and adds a fun interactive element to the card.
I was also really inspired by a card I saw on the Two Peas site (linked below). I was particularly fond of the gold embossing on vellum. So I went gold for this card. I've always been a gold girl (you'll notice that my wedding ring is gold...and I chose that when white gold and platinum was all the rage).
I've included a video tutorial, as well as links to all the products used in this video, below.
So, tell me. What have you been up to this spring break.
