Fancy Flower Mother's Day Card
Hello everyone! I hope you are having a wonderful weekend. Saturday is baseball day. Preston has a game at 11 today, so we will be headed out to the field soon.
I have a really quick and easy project for you for Mother's Day. No doubt, there are some of you who still need to whip up a Mother's Day card or two! I used the XL Fancy Flower punch (which is getting a lot of use from me). I also used the Messages for Mom stamp set. The flower was punched in Taken With Teal card stock, which is one of the colors that is retiring when the Color Renovation takes place. I would suggest that you get reinkers for all of your pads that will be retiring and stock up on some of your favorite card stocks. I am personally thrilled about the color renovation, but I will miss Taken With Teal. It's one of my favorites!
Yesterday was "Moms For Lunch" day at my son's school. It is a day where moms or grandmas, come and bring their child lunch and have lunch with them. The school is right across the street from a nice park, so they let you take your kids across the street and eat at the park if you prefer. My kids wanted McDonald's, so I brought them happy meals and we sat on a blanket to eat at the park. Thirty minutes in the sun, and I got burned on my shoulders! I am not surprised...that's kind of how my summer goes. We had a nice time. It was nice to slow down from my busy schedule and spend some time just talking to my kids.
Happy Mother's Day to all the mommies out there! I know you work hard to keep life balanced for you and your family. I hope you find some time to do whatever it is that you enjoy the most this weekend!
